THE MILWAUKEE AREA WORKFORCE INVESTMENT

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board of Directors is comprised
of representatives from various segments of business, education, labor and community-based organizations. Appointed by the Mayor, board members
are responsible to work in tandem with the State to develop policies and guidelines and to provide oversight of the local workforce investment system.

Under the direction of these community leaders, the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board, Inc. implements the principles of the Workforce Investment Act as dictated by the workforce needs in Milwaukee County. As a result, local residents gain access to career opportunities and employers can build the workforce they need for success.
