- Small businesses – think where your adult members of your family or friends may work.
- Corporate offices have established summer jobs and internship programs. The competition for these is tough, but if you know someone at the company you may have an advantage.
- Stores at the mall: Do your have a favorite store at the mall where you like to shop?
- Hotels, resorts and tourist attractions are busy in summer.
- Golf, tennis and fitness clubs often look for part-time help.
- Grocery stores may lead to employment year round.
- Fast food and restaurant always are looking for help.
- Parks and recreation departments often have summer programs.
- Did you attend a summer camp? If you like working with kids, try becoming a counselor.
- Subsidized programs from the city county and state are an option if you qualify. Stop in at the Milwaukee Career Center.
